Recap of 2015 Tech Summit & Vendor Showcase

10th Edition in Sacramento

The following statements summarize the March 2015 Destination Marketing Tech Summit & Vendor Showcase better than any lengthy recap of the conference. Thanks to a terrific group of speakers, delegates, vendors and sponsors as well as our gracious Sacramento CVB hosts for coming together to mark the 10th anniversary of this popular education program. DMO-industry peers attended sessions about clarifying complex technology choices as well as how consumers and clients use technology to gather information and make travel decisions. The 2016 Tech Summit is set for March 16-18, 2016, in Anaheim.

“I have to say I was very impressed with the Tech Summit. I had some amazing meetings with vendors, but also with some CVB peers that I think will prove to be great collaborative relationships. Overall, I was energized and overwhelmed by all the data. The first session alone had me leaving with three pages of action items. And, the VP of Marketing for Visit California blew my socks off at the final presentation.”

~Sarah Myers, Digital Marketing Manager, Park City Chamber/Bureau (delegate)

“The Tech Summit was better than I could have imagined. I learned SO much! The speakers were great and I especially enjoyed the networking – very valuable!”

~Toby Parks, Tourism & Marketing Manager, Discover Marana (AZ) (first-time delegate)

“Thanks for a great conference. We received a lot of attention at the conference. Folks weren’t as shy about walking up to us at the booths as they usually are at other conferences. That was really refreshing for us. Nice job in creating an atmosphere that’s conducive to open discussion.”

~Cree Lawson, CEO, Arrivalist (exhibitor)

“Thanks for another great Tech Summit and Sacramento was a wonderful host city!”

~Nancy Black, Tourism Development Manager, Tempe Tourism Office (delegate)
